MILFORD DOWNTOWN FARMERS' MARKET For local flavor from CT self-producing farmers to you, every Saturday morning 9-1! Welcome to the new Milford Downtown Farmers' Market! Established in 2008 with the support of the Downtown Milford Business Association. Special thanks to Lou and Joe Agro for allowing us to use their parking lot! This diverse market is sure to be the place to go on Saturday mornings! Located in beautiful downtown Milford, in the parking lot on the corner of Darina Place and River Street. This convenient location is a short walk from the beautiful downtown shops. You will remember some of us from our original location at Walnut Beach where we were located the past two years. Stop by and you can be sure to find fresh veggies of all kinds including corn and veggies from Beckett Farm; Sunflower Farm with soaps made with goat milk, farm grown herbs and herbal tinctures and decoctions, plants, perennials and more; Vaiuso Farm, with beautiful fresh produce of every kind, and beautiful perennial plants and more; Stonewall Apiary, with honey, creamed honey, comb honey, beeswax candles; Rose's Berry Farm with veggies, strawberries, blueberries, plants, flowers, their own jams, made-from-scratch berry pies; Beltane Farm with Paul Trubey's incomparable CT goat cheese and now we've got local shellfish from Larry Williams. Beginning July 19th we will have Natural grass fed Connecticut beef available! Our newest addition is Homestead Farm, from Orange, CT, where Amy Williams uses natural, pesticide free growing practices to grow beautiful veggies for you to enjoy. Be sure to stop by the newly added bread booth from Milford's own Villa Gourmet and pick up some wonderful fresh baked CT peasant bread, with a crunchy sea salt topped crust, or fresh baked traditional Italian bread and more. Also right on site is Milford's own Sweet Design Bakery and Kathy's Cookies. It just keeps getting better!
Master gardeners program on site weekly, activities for the kids, beautiful recipe cards given out and more.
*Presently accepting WIC, working on accepting food stamps in the near future.
We are MOST grateful to the Downtown Milford Business Association and Joe and Lou Agro, for without their sponsorship and support we would not be here!
